Cátedra de Estudios de México Fulbright-García Robles COMEXUS
En la primavera de 2017, el Centro Katz y la Comisión México-Estados Unidos para el Intercambio Educativo y Cultural (COMEXUS) establecieron la Cátedra de Estudios de México Fulbright-García Robles COMEXUS. Por hasta cinco meses cada año, el Katz Center recibirá en la Universidad de Chicago a un académico mexicano destacado.
El becario investigará y realizará actividades docentes y de divulgación acerca del estado actual y las perspectivas del desarrollo económico y social de México. Además, participará en las actividades del Centro Katz, incluyendo el Mexican Studies Seminar, y tendrá la oportunidad de colaborar con el Centro de Estudios Latinoamericanos de la universidad.

In the spring of 2017, the Katz Center for Mexican Studies and the Mexico-USA Commission for Educational Exchange (COMEXUS) established the Fulbright-García Robles COMEXUS Mexico Studies Chair. For up to five months each year, the Katz Center will host a senior scholar at The University of Chicago.
The grantee will study and lecture on topics regarding the present state and future prospects of Mexico’s social and economic development. Moreover, the grantee will participate in Katz Center activities, including the Mexican Studies Seminar, and will be able to collaborate with the University’s Center for Latin American Studies.

The central mission of the Katz Center is to enrich the Mexican studies community at The University of Chicago by sponsoring academic conferences, lectures, and a seminar series. These events serve to advance innovative research on Mexico and foster dialogue between faculty and practitioners from various disciplinary and professional fields. Unless otherwise specified all our events are free and open to the public.
