In connection with the XIV Reunión Internacional de Historiadores de México, the Special Collections Research Center at the Regenstein Library prepared an exhibition titled “Researching Mexico: University of Chicago Field Explorations in Mexico, 1896-2014,” which ran from June 30 to October 4, 2014.Reflecting on that exhibition and on the University of Chicago’s longstanding intellectual links with Mexico, Professor Mauricio Tenorio has written “Clues for An Archive: The University of Chicago, Mexico, the Social Sciences and Language,” which the Katz Center is now pleased to publish. From Thursday, September 18 to Sunday, September 21, 2014 the Katz Center hosted more than 300 Mexicanist historians for the XIV Reunión Internacional de Historiadores de México.

The academic sessions took place at the Gleacher Center of the University of Chicago and the inauguration ceremonies were held at the Oriental Institute on campus.
